22r efi conversion

OK here is my problem. I need an engine for my 90 yota. I recently got a 2wd 88 donor truck that is carbureted. The donor only has 130,000 miles on it and runs good. I was going to put a timing kit on it and all the other necessary tune-up components. Now Im just wondering if this is a good idea to use the 22r and convert it to efi or should I just hold out and try to sell the donor and get an efi engine. Keep in mind that I got the donor for free. And I just have to bleed the clutch and it would be ready to drive. Any advice would be great.
Thanks guys

The EFi and Carbed Long blocks are almost the exact same.

You only need to change the intake (and all related components), add the Knock sensor, remove the fuel pump and install the block off plate. Simple conversion.

So it should not be too bad then. How hard is it to do the knock sensor? Do you have any pictures? I appreciate the help. Thanks

Knock sensor just takes a 27mm socket or wrench to change from one block to another. Super easy.
