22r coolant pipe.

g'day folks.
jz rebuilt my 22r (carbd eng),
she's right hand drive.
on the back of the timing cover, on dvrs side, there's a coolant pipe...
as alot of the rubber hoses have perished n been discarded, I am unsure where to run a new non moulded hose to from this pipe.
cheers.

Your explantion isnt really clear. Here is a hose that comes off of the Timing Cover/Water Pump that sounds like you are talking about and goes to a U Shaped metal pipe.

Copied....
I use Gates Rubber hose PN# 20801, around $10. It comes is a "S" shaped form, but when you cut the lower part off, it looks identical to the orginal and has the larger opening coming off of the water pump and the smaller end for the horseshoe pipe.

Gates PN#20801, just cut off where my finger is at. Alot cheaper then the dealer.

Here it is cut to length and on. I need to get some new hose clamps to finish the job. Not the best picture but should give you an idea.

The other one is the metal pipe that runs behind the exhaust manifold that eventually goes to your heater core.

yeah, apologies mate. after reading all you wrote, my description wz a bit bad.

the pipe in question is on the inlet side of the engine and is jz like the small pipe you've pictured which runs along 'under' exhaust manifold. same diameter, ceases above oil filter tho.... n

I'm not sure where to run hose from this pipe into. thanks 4 your help.

Red face

I am pretty sure it goes to one of the heater hoses no doubt the one on the right side .

The heater control valve is on the one to the left

I would guess your direction point of reference is the same from sitting in the drivers seat.
