Thanks guys. Yeah I see now that the wastegate is not the part im after, I'm just after then little adapter that attaches the turbo to the stock exhaust :/. I need it, I'll ask at my wreckers again, sure hope they have one :S

Hey guys i really need to know where i can source this part from, i need part 3 out of the picture above i think its called the dump manifold.
i have no idea where to get it, i have had no luck looking on the internet, i am located in australia queensland and need one otherwise my whole turbo build is useless.
Please help

Come on guys i know somebody has the answer, if found some dump pipes on ebay but no toyota ones, and i dont know which other ones would be compatable.

nope, the one off the 2.4l is just a square pipe that goes into a triangle pipe to extend the stock exhaust to the rear of the turbo pretty basic

If the wreckers do not have it (unlikely if you say there are as many 2LT's there) then just make one. get some 3/8th steel plate and make the turbo side flange (use a stock gasket as a template) and then a 2.5" -3" 90deg pipe, your choice of size, universal 2.5" -3" 3 bolt exhaust flange. Then just make the rest of the exhaust to bolt up to it.

Yeah true that could be an option, get some off cut exhaust piping .
another question i have is about the ct20 cooling.
it has a water inlet/outlet on both sides, yet the inlet/oulet flange that you buy to make it work has 2 pipes(hard to explain), in basic terms it has 2 pipes yet they both end up going to the same place and the 1 hole.
Does this mean i need to buy 2 of these flanges to plug the 2 coolant holes of the ct20, if so then ill have 4 inlet/outlets into the turbo, this just seems silly.
Or can i just buy 1 and cap the other end off ??

Got my first part today, bought the manifold from the wreckers or $110.
Before:

And i have just orderd the brand new ct20 toyota turbo for £310 posted

Thank you! i did like the white rims also but it got tireing cleaning them all the time, the littlest bit of dirt made them look nasty, :/ so i painted them black and dont have to worry anymore

Hey guys. Do any of you know how well the engine will handle with the stock 2" exhaust or will I need a bigger diameter system, I was talking to my local exhaust shop who is going to make me a custom dump manifold, and he said there would be slot of lag due to the small exhaust. ? Is this entirely true ?
