1st gen interior
I'm thinking about taking the plastic paneling out the the back and replacing it with something a bit stronger. I was thinking about some thicker sheet metal would work well, but I wanted to see if anyone else had done this first and what they used and how they did it. Also, I want to rip out the carpet and put bedliner in the inside, has anyone done this to a 4runner before?

I thought about that in the past as well. Perhaps with some thin diamond plating or something, I came to the conclusion that it would be way too hard to fit all of those curves in the back though. Stronger panneling and some tamperproof screws would be a really great way to get some added security for your speakers while the top is off in the summer time.
Yotaboy, where you at in VA?

Unbolt that wimpy plastic and bolt in amps. It's the only way to be sure.
