Lee,
It is gray. The guy is going to try and find me another cover and mail that to me. If he finds a another whole clinometer for me you got dibs on this one. Anyone know about the antenna?

Never buy used parts w/o pictures first...unless you can see them in person, which is even better. Be glad you are only out a few bucks and have learned a lesson.
If this person ends up stiffing you more, or doesn't make this right, please do share who it is so we can all avoid him/her like the plague. Good luck.

that is my plan, but I want to see if he makes things right first. He's not a member of the board btw
I'm a bit of a gambler by nature. I bought my 4Runner without seeing so much as a picture of it, let alone driving it. Overnighted the guy half the $$$ upfront and drove to pick it up that weekend.

Your the first person I've ever seen install a power antenna. Most people ditch them for the fixed mast one.

Yeah I figured people would try and get me to put in a fixed mast. I have one now, just want the stock power one back in for aesthetical reasons.
I don't see much action off-road, just a little fishing/camping, so breakage isn't as big of an issue for me. Besides the fixed mast antenna I had laster 15 less years than the power one! It broke after a couple of months.

If you go to www.toyotapartsales.com they will list different prices for the 1st and 2nd gen power antennas (they don't give you a part # though). But I guess it could still fit.

Did you search on 4Crawler? He usually has those little tidbits of info - especially about electrical stuff...
