Been reading post for a couple of days now and engnbldr seems to be the most popular for rebuild kits. Any other recomendations?? Will also need heads worked - should I try them as well? Live in South Louisiana and will have to ship them there and back.

sell the 3vze an take a loss its junk, i didnt learn this till i spent thousands of dollars replacing the heads cams valves injectors timing, there just not built very well i have owned my 4x4 3.0 pickup for about 9 months an its ran maybe 2 0f 9 lol problem after problem

rebuild the 3.0. its a great motor. any motor can be terrible if its been neglected. engnbldr has great stuff. keep searching and asking questions

I think alot of guys would highly disagree with you. As for junk I don't think so. Keeping it maintained properly is the key to its longevity. Sure it has its quirks, but I like mine and also like working on it. Maybe its just time to sell yours. Good luck
