1992 3.0l v6 stalls on engagement or at 11-15mph
Hi all, newby here needing help. I am helping my dad with a 1992 Toyota Winnebago Warrior. We just finished with a new timing belt, idler pulleys and water pump. The engine runs well, smooth and lots of power. If you put the trans in manual first the truck runs fine. If you place the truck in drive or man2 it will stall.
Occasionally (mostly cold) it will allow you to shift into drive, but as soon as you hit 11-15 mph the engine shuts off. It will restart but the same thing happens every time. As it warms it will stall as soon as you shift out of park.
I have seen a few cases of torque converter clutches failing, but there is no lugging when this happens, it is like someone intentionally shut it off. Especially when driving, there is no feel of second gear engagement, just shuts off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome. If you short out the diagnostic terminal it might flash an error code.
Both the check engine light and the I think o/d light give out codes.
Someone will correct me and/or provide more info.
