1991 pickup 4x4 rusted out oil pan ?
i have a 1991 pickup 4x4 4-cylinder body is near perfect and everything else is rusting to death (74,000) miles.my problem is the oil pan is rusted through.my question is whats the easy way to change it? THANKS Bill G.

I don't believe it will clear without either unbolting the motor mounts and raising the engine or you can drop the front diffirential. I had the same problem once on a toy and once on a big block chevy. It amazes me that a part that has been saturated in oil its whole life can rust through.

Maybe if you have a supension lift you can drop the pan without removing the diff or lifting the engine?

Lemme guess, you drive a 2 wheel drive truck right?
On a 4x4 you either have to drop the front diff, or if you have a body lift on the truck, unbolt the motor and jack it up 5 or 6 inches and it will just barely slide out. I did mine the latter way because I have a 3" BL on my truck. You have to jack it waaay up but you can get clearance with a 3" bl on the truck.
It's a major pain in the ass...
