1991 Pickup 3.0L SR5 o2 sensor
I bought a bosch universal o2 sensor to put into my pickup, but the plugs arent the same and i need to know what wires to hook up to the harness. I cant return the sensor because the flange needed to be welded into the exhaust pipe and i did that before realizing that the plugs dont fit.
Thanks in advance!
Oh and one other thing.. truck has been overfuelling really bad and idling at about 500 RPM and the idle screw doesnt change anything. Also, the engine doesnt smoothly operate until about 3500+ RPM.. i didnt really notice much of a loss in power and unplugging the old o2 sensor didnt change how it idles or revs at all. Is this the o2 sensor or something else?
I just got this truck about 3 weeks ago and i already hate this 3VZE
Already changed:
Fuel Pump
Fuel Pressure regulator
Tested VAF Sensor
Replaced vacuum lines
Tested EFI relay
Thanks in advance!

A "universal" o2 sensor, as far as I'm familiar, ends in bare wire ends. In that case, you could cut the plug off the old sensor and splice it in, with the wires going to the same positions.
If it helps, pin 1 is HT1, GR-B. 2: 12v, W-R. 3: Ox1, B. 4: Gnd, BR.
A universal sensor might be easier to find, but you'll be replacing it soon. Even if you're really good at splicing (crimped connector, heat shrink tubing), that splice is hanging out there in all the muck from the road.
Good luck!

Fixed It.
Okay, i finally found out what was the source of my problems. I had a brainfart and thought i needed to get at the back side of the VAFM to check the terminals for corrosion/test continuity. When i unscrewed the two philips screws it tore off 3 thin metal connectors. This was also weird because the continuity tests checked out for the meter but i guess the connection was just not strong enough to properly operate the meter. I cut through the silicone holding the top of the meter on and soldered the connections back together until i can afford to get a new meter. It works good for now. And i finally got the o2 sensor working properly
It took me hours to find what wires do what on the harness and the o2 sensor so here is the connections for a Bosch Sensor to a toyota harness Harness:Sensor
