Angry 1989 Driveshaft stuck/rusted?

So I am trying to pull my driveshaft in my 1989 Hilux 4x4 22re to change the u-joints. I was above to remove the rear shaft from the transfer case and the bolts from the rear flange but I cannot for the life of me get the shaft off the rear end. I have soak it for a couple day with PB blaster, hit it with a hammer although I don't want to whack it to hard because of the differential seal and pinon etc. I guess the next step is to but some fire to it but heat worries me a bit because of the the pinon seal. Has anyone had an issue with this or am I missing something, I mean it appears to be four bolts and my step son and I got them with PB Blaster a breaker bar and testosterone but this is making me nuts! Any help?

Try to get a pry bar and put it between the rear flange and the d-shaft and pry it away from the rear end. There is sometimes a bit of pressure holding it against the rear pinion flange.

There is a ring on the flange that sits into a female ring on the driveshaft. Very small. Rust and pressure on it will make it not want to just slide off. You will have to pry it away

Did prying it do the trick for you then?

I got 6 of the 8 caps off tonight but the last two a really rusted so they are soaking over night in PB Blaster. I got one joint back together but the whole thing take a lot of universal adjustment tool persuasion. I may need a larger universal adjustment tool.
