1988 Wiring Harness Connector Identification
I have two connectors that between swapping engines, I don't know where they go.
It is the blue and black connectors shown on the hopefully attached pic (not my original). Everything else more or less matches, based upon color, but these do not.
Any help would be appreciated.

- Include the components around it so we'll have a point of reference and know where to start looking,
- YOu also take a picture of what's inside the connector housings; spade terminals? Pin Contacts?

I am guessing it is for a 22re. The blue should be your water temp sensor in between #2 and #3 injectors behind the thermostat.
The black one I dont know, mine has never been hooked up. Might be for a automatic tranny or something. You should be fine without it.

It is a 22re (sorry), These are near the back of the engine. As you know the wiring harness routes underneath the intake manifold.
There is a temp sensor nearby not yet hooked up.
I vaguely remember the black one being hooked to something (two connectors, but perpendicular to each other). However, nothing obvious to connect.

The black one may have something to do with a/c. My 87 doesn't have a/c and I have the same plug going to nothing. The blue is for temp like every one else is saying.
