Question 1988 PU 22RE won't start. Has gas, has spark, turns over, wont fire. Ran yesterday?!

Just finished completely doing body (cab corners, new rockers, fenders, doors, and everything else exterior related) motor ran like a top two days ago (only has 129,000 on it!) but i went to start it today and will not fire. All my lights came on like the oil, check engine, etc. and still are on. Computer is dry as a whistle. Replaced distributor cap and rotor, tested igniter, tested one plug. All good. Had it fire one time but ran absolutely terrible, chugging and then just died out after roughly two minutes. Now im lost, thought it could be the temp. sensor or the cold start injector but idk if it would cause those lights to turn on or if it would cause these frustrating symptoms. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

When? Is this the first time you've tried to start it since the above work?

In other words ==> it ran perfectly...then did the above body work...now it doesn't run.

True or not?

I would think if you just replaced the distributor cap and rotor that maybe you got your firing order wrong.

Also check your AFM to see if it got unplugged by mistake. Also see if the flapper door is working properly.

Yeah the truck ran great before, during, and after the body work and now it doesn't wanna run. I didnt run the truck daily during the body work because i couldnt but everytime i wanted to start it it ran perfectly. I talked to a guy who said the teeth on the timing chain may have slipped and through the time off but doing that timing chain is something i wanna avoid as much as i can at the moment. Would hooking the diagnostics up tell me if the chain timing was off??

And i marked all of the wires previous to changin the distributor cap so they should all be in the right position on the cap. And sorry for my newness to working on motors but idk what the flapper door is or the AFM. Something to do with the airflow sensor?

So i figured the problem guys.... I was reading on another site of a guy having a problem like mine although I messed up when i said i had gas. My fuel pump wasnt getting any power but it was working for one day after my last reply and seemed to work fine however.... I went to start it the next morning and boom! No gas again! SOOO i did what this other guy did and wired a toggle switch in my cab so i can just hit the switch to get juice and turn on the fuel pump whenever i turn the truck on. And it works very well so far. And it wasnt the relay, i checked it previous to doing this little factory modification. But thank you all for the help and replies everybody! Illl post a picture of the orange bomber soon to show you the beauty in all of its grace and the mod i did.
