So Im tired of searching through threads trying to figure this out, Im just tring to find a straight answer. I was replacing all my vacuum lines in an attempt to adjust my carb and get things running right. I'm looking through my haynes for my year, and its federal, but the diagram only shows one vsv valve on the fender and I have two, Im sure that one goes to the A/c but I cant figure it out on the diagram. Plus when I got all my lines according to the diagram, then the port on the throttle positioning pump was left open. Can I get some


insight, directions, maybe some quality pics of how this $h%t is set up! My thumb and index are pointing them out.

You're lucky my intake is handy and labeled. Well, mostly. Some labels have fallen off. I may need some help myself when I go to plug everything back in.

Your thumb is touching this line:




Here's the line on the firewall side of your index finger. It goes to the plastic "T" behind my index finger. A short line from there runs to where my middle finger points. This is one without a label, but I'm fairly sure I'm right after looking at past pictures.





The one at the very tip of your index finger goes to the biscuit (idle up diaphragm, I think) shown in the upper left of both my pics.

Thanks Flying, Awesome that your stuff was off and still put together! I'm going to check and make sure that's the way I got it. So nothing goes to the condenser? What about the line under my thumb? I noticed there's a port on the side of the air cleaner housing, wondering if that's it?

As far as I know, there aren't any vacuum lines to anything a/c.

The one below your thumb goes to the charcoal canisters. It runs to a T, then lines from the T go to each canister.

I'm not positive, but I think a line from the air cleaner connects to the T shown in the second picture (and also in the pic below).

Here's another that goes to the air cleaner.

yeah dude, I think that's it, the T on my line is just capped off, I think thats where it goes.

holy hell... and I thought the vacuum hoses on a stock 22re were a mess...

not hardly lol. I spent two hours trying to piece mine together after my rebuild following an autozone diagram.
