1986 22RE Head Gasket Replacement

Hello all, i just bought my first toyota 4x4 pickup. its a 1986 with a 22RE fuel injected 5 speed. When i bought it, it had a blown head gasket. ive replaced the head and gasket, timing chain and gear and chain guids. The problem ive got is that when i bought the truck the guy i bought it from already had the radiator, altinator, AC pump, exhaust and all the wires disconected. ive got everything all reconected except one metal tube on the driverside of the motor. this tube is about an inch in diameter and comes from around the the back of the motor. it looks like it could have something to do with the exhaust do to having some carbon built up in it, but im not 100% what is supposed to be hooked up to it. Does any one have a clue of what it is and what it hooks up to? if any one has an idea orhas a picture of their 22RE so i could see what to do with this tube i would GREATLY appreciate the help. Thanks, Bulldog

look at these pics should give you a good idea of how they hook up if these are not the pipe in question pm me and I will take a few pics of how the rest of them hook up for you.

the two that are not hooked up go to the rubber lines on the firewall and I can get pics of which one go where for you if you need them.
