$100 rust-oleum paint job

Finally decided to do some rust repair and paint this old bag.
This was my first attempt to paint any vehicle and using a spray gun...

Any tips for next time I decide to paint or possibly repaint it? I did learn quite a bit during the process. I should've wet sanded and did a 6th coat.
This was 5 coats with a 60/40 paint/thinner ratio.
I did wet sand between coats 3 and 4...I should've wet sanded for every coat, but I guess it's practice, practice, practice.
Also any suggestions for leaving the mud flap/fender flares on or off?

That looks pretty good. I guess where the old paint cracked you would have to sand it down to the gray Toyota primer. I think you can cut and buff the paint after two weeks when it's completely dry. Keep it waxed or it will fade like a 70's Toyota paint job.

Lol I've waxed it once already but I didn't clear coat it either...so who knows I may have to re paint....if that's the case I'll definitely re sand. Especially the cracked areas
