Truck has no power

Truck has no power
I have a 22re, it revs up all nice when it's in park and neutral but as soon as I put it in drive or reverse it's got no power. Things I should check? (I'm a noob)
*I have fresh fuel filter
*Timing looks good (but don't know if I jumped a tooth or not, how could I tell?)
*it was a 22re swap from a 22r it has the old tank with aftermarket fuel pump. Could this be a problem?
