Timing Light on 22re pickup, good for checking miss fire?
Hey All,
Trying to track down a miss fire on my 85 pickup and am trying to determine if it is ignition or fuel related, I have done a ton to fix this problem.
Tonight I hooked up my timing light to the coil wire and shined it at the wall next to my truck in pitch black Every once in a while at idle and while revving I could see the light skip a beat, Is this a reliable was to test for this?
I have tested per the FSM the coil, ignitor, pickup. Has OEM wire plugs cap and rotor most of which are less then a year old.
The coil just showed a 0.8 ohms where it should of been like 0.4-0.7 I wonder if this could be it.
