Shock sensor?

My 84 has little shock sensors on the door jams. Would they have been part of an alarm system?

Shock sensors? Or are you talking about the little plastic dome light switch that is spring loaded and shuts off the dome light?

84 Pickups never had an alarm option, so if there were any sort of sensors in there for an alarm, they would be aftermarket.

Do you have a magnet or something on the door as well? Looks aftermarket to me.

That is aftermarket for sure.

Toyota never used flathead anything in any of their trucks, nor did they put any sensors by the latch strike plate.
