SAS 87 4runner

Wassup,

Just finished helping a buddy of mine complete a SAS on his 87 runner and I thought I would share some pics. Made for a great weekend and some good beer drinking

Well I guess that SAS are not as uncommon as they used to be. I would have expected more comments.

Character is only good in a part until it fails, expecially in something as vital as the power steering pump.

I would say that 2 out of the three was coincidence, the 87 runner we SAS was the first then my buddy ran across the 84 runner and I bought it , it just happen to be white, my father in-law really liked them and went on a mission to find another white one. Thanks for the nice comments, and as far as the p/s is concerned I think it has already been repaired. AND NO CHARACTER IN THE LUG NUTS GOT IT

I made the tire carrier. The bottom bar the goes into the hitch is solid 2x2 bar and the upper support is 2 x 2 x 3/16" wall thickness and there is a solid block welded in the bottom that the hinge pins goes thru it works out real nice. I just need to get a spare 33" tire to go on it.

Yeah we did it in two days. The first day was mostly spent getting it over to my house with all the related parts ie axle and SAS kit. I would say the hardest part of the job is grinding the frame clean that is all we did the rest of day one was grind grind grind, it only took a couple hours to plasma cut the IFS off. And the axle was already rebuilt so that speed up the process. Thanks for the complements.
