i'm running their front springs 3.5 lift. they were way stiff, so after about three times out, i took two bottom springs out and replaced them with three thinner springs, rides MUCH better, and flexs 10 times better.

Depends on what you want. You just wanna have a good lookin lifted daily driver, it would probly be ok. If you ever wanna carry weight or go wheelin, i would spring for somethin a little better.

I have them on my 83 they flex ok but there name is true to ride quality...What thinner springs you use to soften the ride it might be worth it

i looked at mine again, i'm only using the main spring from rough country, and three other thinner springs below that. it rides pretty dang good, and flexs well.

yes, i used three stock toyota front leafs, but don't ask which ones. i just stacked them according to length, shortest on bottom of course. after all this was said and done, i'm still sitting about 3" over stock. i'm using all-pro hy steer, and have plenty of room between the tie rods and springs

I installed the Rough Country 3" lift kit with all new springs on my 84. The ride is not bad at all. One of the things I did notice is there are no bushings for the shackles at the frame. If I am removing the shackles, I might as well put in new bushings. The bushings used for the shocks at the front axle did not fit very well. I would also suggest new, longer brake lines. The install took me a day to do. Make sure you have stands high enough for the frame to accommodate the arch of the springs. You will NOT need a new drag link. The stock one works just fine. Also, make sure you have PB Blaster. The price I paid was well worth it! The kit came with 4 springs, 4 shocks and various hardware components. I believe I paid about $300.00 less shipping about a year ago.
