Unhappy Ran compression test, now getting a code 12 (knock sensor)

where to begin. I guess I should start by saying I have a 85' pickup (sunrader) with a 22re with 220k on her. I enlisted the help of an older friend who is very impatient to help with a compression test. I tried to take the time to figure out how to disable the fuel injectors and spark on the distributer wire but he was in too much of a hurry to hear any of that. Couple things we did wrong, A)pulled the plugs one by one when testing B)only had the engine warm on the last two spark plugs C) injectors were spraying and center spark plug wire was sparking like crazy while turning over the engine. I put it all back together with new plugs, plastic cap to distributer, rotor, distributer wires, and the PCV with a new hose. She was running great when I took her in except for the slightest hesitation when I first hit the gas (no codes). After we put her back together it ran like ˟˟˟˟ for a minute but after revving it for a minute to burn up the gas in cylinder it idled like normal. Once I started driving it throws a code 12 as described below
has not reached judgement level in succession
- Defective KS circuit
- Defective KS
- Defective ECU
This in turn retards the timing a little so it feels like I have about 85% power. And I can't figure what I did to the ol' gal. The results of the compression test were #1-140psi #2-150psi #3-130psi #4-120psi. Though the numbers could be off for the reasons as stated above. I plan to do another compression test once I get it to stop throwing the code 12. Also, not sure if it matters but fuel injector #3 was replaced recently. And remember the code does not come on until you begin driving her not while she is idling. Thank you for taking the time to read.

welp, I finally took her in after giving up. Turns out the compression on cylinder #3 dropped significantly after I did my test. Guess I blew her out or something.

How did you disable the fuel injectors? Was it by removing the fuse?

Having the same issue

Bring this back if I can get a response.

Could this code 12 be thrown by a bad TPS? I am getting code 7 also, but have yet to replace the TPS (Broke as hell)

Please help, I can provide any information.

My main issue is hesitation and acceletation issue past 20mph or 2nd. Just wont speed up for anything and almost feels like its physically dropping geared when I accelerate. BBWAAA Bwaaaa waaaa aaaaa....brrrrrrrr if that makes up for the sounds I get when I take off from stop.

Thanks,
Factor
