The problem im having is spark timing

The distributer is maxed out it still needs 5 degrees.... I think
It's a 22re out of an sr5. Timing seems to be a hair off. Just a hair. Or is there any other things I should check??
I'm a noob and don't have a whole lot of time under the hood but am trying to learn and try to figure out problems on my own
Thanks anything will help
Also lack of power while under load (in drive or reverse) (couldn't role through thick sod hah)

The distributor could be off a tooth. Never messed with one on a 22re though, others may chime in some info

I've turned it a tooth and the rotor was not facing cylinder head one after I lined up the timing

How are you measuring the timing?
