Yea, the original owner was in the military and was an MP and had light
on the top. Instead of leaving holes in the roof he added a sunroof. It doesnt shine red heaven in the truck but when you look up it does kinda screw with your eyes

Wow! Those are some nice rigs. I haven't posted on here in awhile, so I thought I would see what was going on. Here's my Gold baby.
This is from last year on the drive back from Minnesota.( I bought the truck back after 10 years)

Here's one out on the trails in West Texas

Here's one non running project I picked up. It was a really nice, completely loaded 85 SR5 at one time...kids do some crazy things.

Here's another project I bought. Its at a friend's house for the moment. its an 85 with a blown motor and trashed interior

Got me thinking, how do you know if its fully loaded from 85?
What is an SR5?
My 85 has the extra map lights, digital clock, A/C, and the back panel has holes for 6" speakers and nets under them for papers or whatever. That mean anything?

SR5 is a trim option, My 85 is SR5, it's got a little more crome trim and the seats say SR5.

SR5's had sport seats, a tachometer, stripes, and a "loaded" one would have a sunroof, power options (windows and antenna). By 1989, a loaded SR5 would have a sunroof, power windows, locks, and mirrors, sport seats, stripes, a tachometer, and a few other things I am probably forgetting.

Fresh paint, lift and new tires.

Tried running some street-friendly tires... they sucked and I got stuck right away...

Painted the bottom third with Bedliner.. I wish I hadn't done that.

Lots more mods...

Right out of the garage after trimming a ton of sheetmetal to make the 40's fit

Only one trail run on the 40's so far. I didn't get the front fenders trimmed in time so I ran the trail fenderless.

I WILL have some better pictures after this weekend, I promise (CO4RJ is this weekend!!!)

This is my 84 its got a 2" body lift and SOON to have a 5" spring lift. 228k miles on the 22R and still runs like a top. I've just got a flowmaster on it and nothing else performance wise. needs serious brake work....

and this is how it sits as of last night
