i think i saw on my buddies sr5 the redline on a 4 cyl is almost 6k. not positive though. run it till you hear the valves float!

22RE will run at 5-6K all day long.. ask me how I know

22rs red like runs about 5500-6000RPMS.... i dont wanna burst ur bubble but its not wise to push the 22r that hard all the time... wears a motor quicker with high rpms.... i mean unless it beefed up and or low miles or new you kinda should not do that with the 22r or really any motor... you will see thats how they start knocking.... 22rs dont like high RPMS....the 22r produces all its HP at 3800RPMS anyway you don't need red line.

thanks guys. i set my tach for 4000 rpm for shift light. in 3rd and 4th gear in 2H its hard to bring the rpms up fast with 38.5 boggers. but tachs up pretty good in 4L......
