OME Springs.
Ok Guys....I am getting ready to install soem New OME 2" springs on my 85 4runner.
My question is........ Do I need a spacer underneath the leaf pack??
There is one on the existing lift springs that I took off. I have been trying to find information but have had no luck.
Any help is appreciated.

you currently have 6" shackles or you got the 6" version to install with the new leafs?
when i did my pickup i didn't know what height i'd get after, so i kept my stock 3.5" shackles until it settled. well it was VERY raked when I installed and didn't have BJ spacers up front to level it out. afterward I installed the BJ spacers and loosened the tbars so everything was happy with a slight rake. later I added larger tires and adjusted everything up front again, which pretty much leveled out my truck and the leafs were broken in by then. i never ended up changing shackles out because of this, but someday I will end up raising the rear 0.5-1" with shackles - my rear tires kiss the rear fender by the mud flaps at full articulation and a load in the back (I also have no bump stops in back). remember that 1" longer shackle nets 0.5" more height.

I am referring to the Front springs. I guess I should have clarified that. Sorry for any confusion.
I have TG 6" shackles up front and out back.
I ended up needing the SHims as the Pinion angle was too great for what I wanted.

If your front driveshaft was slipping out before the shim was inserted then you may need a longer one so you don't break it under articulation.
Maybe stating the obvious here but I see you've got square ubolts under that axle - shouldn't you be using rounded ones??? Most SAS rigs I see have rounded, unless they added some sort of flat axle brace and require squared ubolts.

I do need a longer shaft, but the angle was greater without the shims. Causing it to be a longer distance from the T-case to the 3rd. Make sense?
I am eventually going to make a square one.
I thought the same thing about the U-bolts. I was under the impression that they all should be round.
This is the TG 84-85 Ubolt flip kit. It came with 2-round, and 2- square.
I looked at a few other axles with the flip kit, and some had the square on the drivers side and some had round......
Who knows. It fits snug against the bottom as that side of the axle has a square type factory gusset on the bottom.
