well i got to drive it on the freeway. It's much better than before. I've got to tune it though because it idles a little high and I have some backfire. I've never tuned one before so I've got to learn. If anyone has any input suggestions that would be great.

brass tube?

does anyone have one of those brass tube that goes above the exhuast manifold and a breather they want to sell for about $15 plus shipping? and is there a specific name for it?

I don't have a breather for the pcv (just run a hose). I do have the emissions tube that goes on the manifold. It's from an 84 4runner. I could ship it off to ya.

Ok so bout the first blown up pic, I'm barely getting used to the download thing. In the first pic, theres a large hose in the middle of the pic that is not connected. Do I need to have that somewhere? In the second pic theres an inlet on the front side of the valve cover that used to have a hose connected to the stock air intake. I know this goes connected to the new Weber air filter, but how do you secure it? I can't seem to find where to hook it up other than the hole on the Weber ait filter

I still need to fabricate the plate to cover the hole in the rear part of the head. Any suggestions? I got it running today but quickly turned it off cuz I knew it was gonna start shooting oil through that hole

I got a new hose and a clamp and I just clamped it right on there.

About the hose that has not terminal, i did not use emissions stuff. I removed everything that was involved with emissions. I would say if it doesn't have a place to go then plug it. Just my opinion. If you run into problems after that then you can go back and trouble shoot the problem.

i just put my stock carb back on anyone know where i can get a diagram of the vacume lines?

why did you do that? Keep the weber! You can find the diagram in the FSM. It's in there somewhere.

Thanks for your help live4soccer. I completed my install last night. It runs good now. Its idling a bit high around 1000 rpm. How hard was it to adjust yours? I remember you saying it was also high.

maistroyoda. That second pic you posted (the first normal size one) that red wire coming from off the circle thing on the carb. Any idea what it is or where it goes. I bought an 84 motor with a weber carb and dropped it in my previously fuel injected 88. I don't have much to work with for the vac lines and a few of the electrical hookups. The egr was already all blocked off so I don't have a huge mess but I can't figure where that connecter goes. Also the green wire with red tracer in your first pic. I believe its a thermo switch (the one on the left if you have 2) I can't figure where that goes. On the bottom of the intake manifold there is another 1 wire connecter. Any help? I've been searching for hours and have come up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Edit: I went back and read the first page (I found this on a google search and it started me on page 2) The elctronic choke thing was answered on the 1st page. Disregard the following picture about it.

I will post some pics for anyone who thinks they can help me. I do have a 38 carb instead of the 32/36 but the components should all be similar. The motor will start up as is but runs at an excessive speed (no tach sorry) I have an electric pump but no regulator. Pics are loading. Let me know if anyone needs more info.

These are the couple vacuum lines I need help with. Also on the bottom right is the wire coming from the bottom of the intake. Ignore any metal hosees you see They had a NOS setup on the motor which is not currently setup. The vacuum line with the circle has vapors coming out of it sometimes. Maybe its a return fuel line?

There are 3 wires coming from the back of this. 1 is thicker and 2 are thinner. They are all black.

Matthew, Ok the red wire that I have connected to the side of my Weber Carb is the electric choke. Thats where yours should be connected to receive electric power. It was the original set of wires that came with my original aisin carb. The only thing I did was cut it off the aisin, installed a new connector and connected it right up to the new weber. The aisin was connected in 3 different places with these wires however the Weber only required this one red wire and nothing else. The other two wires as of right now are loose until I figure what I'm going to do with them.
