Well a little bad news. I am going through the packet of information that the guy gave me. Boy does it reak of smoke! I can smell it a good 5 feet away. So, Im thinking that stuffy smell in it is probably 20 year old smoke in the seats. That could be difficult to get out...any advice?

But...we have brochures! Everything from the "How to clean your bumper" manual to the Official toyota clothing line magazine.

Well, glad things worked out between you and the wife/ fiance. And I really am trying to be happy for you, fugger . That is the sweetest, cleanest and most factoryish runner I've seen to date Mine, I thought was super clean w/ it's 130k odometer, definately takes a back seat to that!

Offer still stands

PoBoy,

To get the smoke smell out, you need to have it hooked up to an "Ozone machine". Call your local Toy dealership and ask their used vehicle dept who they contract to get out the smoke smell. Or if they are knowledgable, ask them which company provides Ozone machine service in your local area.

i've heard baking soda, or baking powder, whatever it is you stick in your fridge. sprinkle it in the car and vacume it up after a day or two.

Tires...someone on 4x4wire said they may be the original Dunlops.
Well, the spare on our 88 is a Dunlop.

You might want to go easy on those tires if they are original. I've heard of old tires disintegrating at speed.

I know that tires do have an 'expiration' date. The rubber used in the tire does at least.

A very nice find.

Treat her well.

how did this guy manage to only rack up 32k in 20 years??? and why did he even own it if he was gonna use it that little??

any problems as a result of it not being run often?

I got smoke out of a work truck by using Frebreeze. Sprayed it on all frabric surfaces and left all windows open in the sun for days. It helped a lot. Great find BTW.

Dude, I would start a separate thread and get a bidding war going. Sounds like you were in the right place at the right time, and now you could cash in. My .02

Put it back in storage and pull it back out next year when it truly is 20 years old.

Better still hold onto it for 6 for the 25th anniversary.

bling bling
