Oh- If anyone wants to see the truck in action, I have a short video clip. PM your email to me & I'll send it to you. I can't link to it here, unless anyone knows how.

Can you take a few more pics of the hood? Close-ups of the top and sides would be appriciated. Thanks.

Is the 4 inch body lift required to fit the engine in there? You could trim the fenders to remove the rust: http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=386066

Where are you in SC? Looks like a nice rig, I would agree with ditching the 4" BL. Keep us posted with the build or repairs.

I got the 5pt. seat restraints in yesterday. So I'm sure the seats will arrive next, and the mounting brackets LAST...
So I am deciding what to do with the rust issues. I pulled out the back carpet & side panels. Like I said, it is bad, but not a total loss. Sorry for no pics, my cam-phone is not working. I did include a few of the rust I found on the frame. That will have to be repaired before any off-road trips. ![]() ![]()

yeah it's great finding those "surprises" isn't it?! I yanked all the carpet in mine too, only to find sheet metal screwed to the floor up front....

The wheel wells had your basic rust for a 21 year old truck, but not as bad as I had expected. Body "surprises" I can live with, I just hope I dont find any major ones with the engine & trans. when I have it tuned up & checked out. I am trying to decide if I want to try & repair the frame myself or have it done at a shop. I have no proir exp. in welding.

Who shows up today, but my favorite person...the UPS guy. I got the new seats in, and now I have to wait for the mounting brackets.
When everything gets here I will document the installation on a new thread. Here's a pic of what will be going in...

Thanks, I have been thinking about fiberglass. I think it would help offset the center of gravity being higher when I install a full cage. I am searching some different threads to get some info on people who have used it.
