I nearly cried...

Came across this on craigslist while searching for parts for my 88 'runner. Such poor use of a vehicle with so much potential...

Somebody in the are should snag that.
Obviously the guy has no idea what those are worth, or wouldn't have
done what he did. Snatch it up for cheap and have a nice body to work
with, plus it sounds to me like it still has the solid axle since he never
converted it to 2WD

I would buy that in second and return it to its glory. You could part the body of for triple what he is asking.

That is almost a sin what he did to that 4runner.

I'd say that the rims ARE fake!
Notice how big the wheels would be in the wheel wells, and that they are not cut out or raised on the passenger side.

There is also a jackstand under it.

BUT, I'd buy it in a heartbeat(If it was in Denver)
I'd love to put the clean body panels on my 4runner.
Plus the axle is worth almost as much as what he is asking.

my buddy, he wants to buy my truck, convert it to 2wd, and make a prerunner out of it, because he says 4x4 sucks and people who go rock crawling are gay losers. i about smacked him for that. (but his gf is good friends with me, and she took away his "fun time" for like a month for sayin that... LOL serves him right)

-- yeah, but when it comes to destroying a truck that is getting harder and harder to find in great shape, then i really condone it. i told him, why not just buy a 2wd toyota and prerun it? he said 'cuz 4x4's have stronger frames, stronger engines, and stronger transmissions.' i had a good laugh and told him he was a moron, that the frames and engines were the same whether its 4x2 or 4x4, and that i believe the transmissions are the same too. lol.
