Hub suggestions!!

Turns out my auto hubs crapped out so I'm going to manual (because apparently that's the best thing to do). What I'm wondering is are Warn hubs any good for Yotas? I would go AISIN but they're just so expensive and I'm not exactly a wealthy man. I found a set of Warns new with conversion kit for $330 including shipping with lifetime warranty. I have tried to find used AISINs but the mudder guys down here in Ga have snatched them all up from the junkyards. Its a daily driver and probably wont be put in 4wd very often. Any help is appreciated as always and if anyone knows where the cheapest place to get some NEW aisin hubs is please let me know!

Red face

What can I say I like my Warn Hubs most times when I get another Toyota the Aisin Hubs are not working and parts are rusted so bad .

People claim the Warn Hubs lack of Cone washers allows the hubs to work loose . I have never had any problems .

Then I am not out crashing the vehicles through boulder fields either just the normal potholes of the Northeast.

I never even thought about replacing with New Aisin hubs.

If you have the SFA the Hub you need is the Aisin FHT-005

Get the correct socket !!

I've always had Warn on my chevy but I had a guy who completly refused to say anything good about Warn so I figured I'd just spend $100 more and get the AISINs. And yes it is SFA.

I like warn hubs on my Chevys. But I had bad luck with them on my last 85. I have seen a lot of OEM Toyota hubs with rust and water in them but same with Warn. I chalk that up to really bad previous owner maintenance. Like they do the wheel bearings but don't take care of the gasket or put a torn one back on. I always keep an eye out for used Toyota hubs on craigslist and buy them if they are priced right. Under $75 in good shape. I always try and have a complete spare set for my rig and or at least a parts set that I can fix a broken hub part with if I do something stupid. Never happened yet but I figure that because I can replace them in the field so they won't break. Murphy's Law.

What ever hubs you go with. Just take care of them and keep up on them. You should be just fine.
