help? Want to do a strip down restore

I want to take my truck down to the frame and sand and paint everything and put in all new wires and hoses and such. So basically will have ugly new truck LOL!!!! im not good at body work.

Is there a thread or any info about getting the whole body off? I will do it one bolt at a time but makes it easier if I have some info. Thank you for any help

The only problem I see for me is I don't have a shop just a very large yard LOL!!! and im by myself. No men around to help me.

Since you know so much I hope you don't mind me asking a question once in awhile. Right now I have 2. Do you need to yank the engine and tranny to take the body off and my floor is rotted but welding is something I have not learned YET. Do they make a floor pan I can have someone weld in or will a flat sheet of metal be ok. Need to find a local who can come to my house and weld for not a whole lot of money LOL!!!! Thanks Again

Here is a link https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51693382 on pulling a body. You don't need to pull the drive train but you will need to lift the body high to clear the floor pan or front core support depending which way you want to roll the frame out from underneath the body.

Well I met Bootscootboogie today. He had a couple doors for my 4 runner. They are sweet. Still have the stripes on them. But he could have kept the thousand or so ants that came with the doors LOL!!!! they had a whole nest and colony inside the door.

He was so nice, but don't wanna wreck his image :-)
Stupid GPS was making me go in circles but luckily Bootscoot knew where I was and gave me the last couple miles of directions. Im gonna take a paper map next time.

Actually might change my mind on body color after seeing doors. I really fell in love with the stripes. Ill post a couple pics in a few hours as its 4 am and still no sleep, too excited about doors.
