help...puddle of oil under rear axle

after sitting over night there were 2 quarter size puddles of oil under my rear axle. I can grab my rear driveline and wiggle it a little bit where it hooks to the rear axle. can anyone give me an idea of what is on its way out?

There usually is a little play. The pinion seal could result in leaking, pretty common. There is a huge pinion nut in the center of the flange if you take d shaft off, ive heard of people having to snug that up maybe?

its running down from the pinion seal area to the bottom of the pumpkin, then to my driveway. I'll try snugging that nut up and seeing if that helps. thanks guys!!!

I don't think you want to just tighten that nut. The process is something like

1 check the breathers it may fix you up,

2 change the pinion seal, it isn't that hard just read up on it first.

3 last resort, pull the 3rd and put a gasket in there and make sure the plugs aren't leaking before you go to all of that work. I had to pull the third because it was just leaking around the bolts. It can leak a few drops for a long time before you have to deal with it. I think mine leaked for a year or more and it never got really low. I just checked it every month or so.
