Help how to shift into 4wd

First off let me say hello to everyone here and it has been a longggg time goal of mine to have an old toyota truck .I just bought a 1985 toyota pickup . Never had a 4x4 before and i dont know how to get it into 4wd. I can lock both of the hubs, One of the hubs go from lock to free easily. The other hub can go to lock but it sticks a little over half way when going to free but it locks all the way in the lock part. The truck does not have any knobs so i can tell where the shifter needs to go. Do i need to be in neutral? I don't even know if the 4wd works or not. Thanks

Should look like the one on the right.

Just have to push the clutch in to put it in 4WD.

If the hubs are unlocked you will still be in 2WD, but will have 2WD Low.

No. You do not have to be in neutral.
