Fixing Load Sensing Proportioning valve ?

my rear brakes stoped working and i fixed them, then realized that the Load Sensing Proportioning valve wasnt working, and no pressure was going to the rear brakes. then i found out that no parts stores sell them and its $185 from toyota.

The chiltons guide says that it cannot be rebuilt. is there any way that i can rebuild it? cause im not going to buy a new one at that price

I took mine off my 85 ext cab and went rear discs. No idea if it worked or not though.
Try DeathCougar or some of the other used parts vendors. Can't be that hard to find one and I think it is held on with 3 or 4 bolts IIRC.
