Electric fuel pump?!

So I need a new fuel pump for my 84, and I just bought a electric pump. Was wondering the correct way to wire one up. Its got two wires (basics) one hot and one ground. How should I wire it the best with the least amount of headache. But also safest in trail/road use.

You remove the old pump from the tank and install the new one.

Just wire it to the fuel pump harness .

That way all the safety features are intact .

You don`t say if you have a EFI engine .

If you bought a cheap pump you will be real good at changing them

just be careful getting the lines off the fuel pump bracket being seized and rusty they like to break.
