Nothing additional, nothing changed. Pull the old one out, put the new one in.
Bam... done.
The tach did come from a V6 truck though, so its off. I have to do a mod to
the tach to actually make it read the correct engine speed though. I'll do that
when I get that last amber bulb to go in the dash.

I got em at O'Reilly. I just removed one of the old ones, took it with me to match it
up. They were cheap, and the look a LOT better on the new gauges, as the old
cluster still had a green tint to it. Nobody else noticed it... but you know how you are
about your own truck...

Thanks. Now I just have to figure out the tach issue. I found a way to make a tach
read correctly when going from a 4 cylinder to a 6 cylinder... but not the other way
around. I am still searching. If anyone has any ideas, I sure could use em.

it's super easy. 5 bolts for the fascia, 4 bolts for the cluster, unhook 3 harnesses, unhook speedo. twist and replace each bulb. as far as color change, you need colored bulbs, or colored bulb "condoms"

ok what and where needs to be connected then? the negative is not marked as my truck doesnt have a standard round coil... it has a square coil that sits on the igniter housing..... its not labeled for the neg side it actually uses a connector that plugs in, not the regular eyelet lines with the bolt on tabs liek a regular coil

Hmm. I may attempt this today. If I can figure it out, I'll post it up. Would be nice to
have my tach working the way it should be. Right now I figure it is pretty close to being
about 1/2 off. 2k is really 4k and so on. I'll look into that.

that were the type used in our gauge cluster. Clear too... can't forget those.

Well, I got the whole dash off to do some wiring and cleaning...going to clean the gauge cluster while it is out...I saw in the first post about cleaning the gauge cluster plexiglass w/ "plexiglass cleaner"...what is that exactly?
Taking the dash apart/off is a PITA...don't expect to do it in a day...
