Dave's 1984 Toyo Pickup. Marlin Crawler, and lots o stuff.

So...I come to you guys from the jeep world. Ive built 2 Cherokees from the ground up, bought both after they had been neglected, dumped some money into suspensions, tires, axles, and sold the first one for a profit, and traded the 2nd one for my newest toy. I traded my 1998 Jeep Cherokee (195k, 4.5" Rubicon Express lift, 33s, clean) for a 1984 Toyota Pickup. Here is the list of goodies:
Trail Gear 5" Extreme Flex Lift
35" BFG KM2s on 15x8 Crawler Wheels
Detroit Locker Front
Cable Pull Locker rear
Beard Built rear d-shaft
Square Front Shaft
All Pro Crossover High Steer
Late model ifs rear axle
Trail Gear diffs (front and rear)
Axle Truss (front)
Tool Box
Tube Rock Sliders (custom)
Custom winch bumper
Warn 9500Lb Winch w/ remote
Weber Carb
Marlin Doubler
Marlin Crawler Stock Toyota Front T-case
4:1 Marlin Crawler Gear rear case (both engaged gives 8:1)
Marlin Crawler Twin Sticks
Underbelly skid (custom)
Disc E Brake on rear shaft.

It has 172k on the 22r. Paint has some surface rust in small places along the doors and bed, nothing serious though. Interior is covered in bedliner..which I hate. Gotta get some carpet in it. Dash has a few small cracks... Havent decided what to do about that yet..Missing the drivers door panel..gotta find one.
Other than that its a straight truck. Hopefully ill learn how to drive the 5 speed better, and most importantly..hopefully this thing will be reliable.

Holy crap. Screw the jeep bro that shiet is sooped up! Definitely worth it man. Wow! Beautiful rig man.
Any way you look at it you still got a great deal dude. Cuz if u think you don't have to SAS because it already has one. And a lot of the mods have already been done for you. It's not like you're starting off new like I am atm. SAS and lift will run you a good 4-5k alone. You got a great deal man. Let's see some interior and engine and under truck shots bro

Some more pics. One shows the drivers side door..the main problem paint spot..really discouraging that the paint looks so bad there. Honestly though..its in the cards that I take it somewhere around february and have it paitned military green with the black accents still. Also a shot of the rear axle looking forward.
Here you can see the hood, little ˟˟˟˟ mark on the right side

Looking down into my garage... You can see my dog here too!

Jeez this last picture is sick! That flex is awesome. And that last picture is really making me super anxious to get my SAS started already. I have 1/2 of what I need for the job. I still need to order the rest. But Dang I can't wait for when mine is able to do that. Woo anxiousness! Lol

I need to really dig in and sort out electrical issues. The kid said oh yea..the fuse box is burnt out as we were trading..So im thinking...what the ˟˟˟˟? The headlights turn on by the factory turn switch on the steering column..the "running lights" are controlled by a switch thats mounted on the front of the dash and has to be cut off manually (doesnt shut off with the truck)...Havent even tested wires yet. AC does not work, said the heat works BUT the "Fan" stopped working.. I dont know ˟˟˟˟ about yotas guys..any ideas? Oh..and if you guys need any opinions on suspensions thats where my knowledge really is!

So..Plans are..
Sort through the wiring and see if I cant figure out how its rigged
Get under neath the thing and wipe everything down, and look for anything that could be a weak point
Possibly sell the bilsteins and go with some fox shocks, or bilstein 7100 resis
Clean up the paint..maybe go military green in feburary with black accents.
Insulate the doors, floor, and carpet the floors..find a drivers door panel..
Add rock lights..(this will prolly happen around x mass)
Add some of the new ARB led lights.

Damn. Well if it were me i would try to find another to replace your burnt out one. but the chances of you finding one at a junk yard is SUPER RARE. So you're better off trying to either fix your problem or take it to a car electrician. but that will rack up your costs. Somebody that might be able to help you out might be Terry(you'll see his comments on my thread as well.) another person who knows some about electrical stuff is, Rad4Runner. But like i said in your first thread. I suggest you do some research on here first.
You definitely gotta get that electrical thing fixed asap. Dont want your truck burning down due to a micky mouse fix.

Btw what size are those shocks. I'm gonna need a pair of 12" and a pair of 10" when i SAS and do my 4" lift. Originally planned to do Walker Evan shocks, but if you have what i need i dont mind buying them off ya for cheaper lol

I think the electrical is fine the way it is, I just dont want all the wires running everywhere. I really wish I could find the guy that built the thing!

Lmao this made me laugh out loud at work haha!

Dave is it leaking on the interior part next to the pedals? It's not leaking from the clutch is it? My last truck had that problem.
