Alright, got a lot going on... putting lift, building flatbed ish thing and a lot in between... Lol. Question is as far as putting brake lights on my flatbed. Not gonna use factory lights or housings. Any one have suggestions as to what lights to use? Looking for something very simple as far as wiring goes. Guess I need a brake light...turn sig...and backup light? Any help is good help. I'm thinking some sort of universal trailer light. Links would be awesome!

Simple: you need a separate light for your brake/running light and a light for your turn signal.
if you want a single light on each side you will need to run a trailer light converter

though mine isn't a flat bed, here is a couple versions I have had:


I like the LED's, a little more spendy but better light output IMO, and less amp draw..

I like that alot. As far as wiring I understand that its much easier to have separate lights to do everything right?

Yes in my opinion. If you go with the single light wiring in the trailer light converter is also fairly straight forward but I have seen them fail in just a few months.

I'm going with 3 different lights...Is there a wiring diagram on here to wire up LEDs with 3 wires? Like color coded lol?
