Cold Start Injector issues with hotwired start! ahahahhahahhhhhhaaaaaaaa

My truck is usless when it gets cold out. wont start, wont run. runs like a top when it is above freezing or relatively warm.

The trucks reg. turn-key is BYPASSED with a hot-wired push-button start and I think this is somehow bypassing the CSI.

CSI works outside of the manifold - and can be jumped and works fine.

But my mechanic cant tell if it is firing when the starter is turning.

Anyone know how to either:

A) tell if the CSI is working when the push-button start is turning the starter.

or

B) How to wire the CSI to work with the push button start

thanks.

The cold start injector time switch is activated by the STart contact off the ignition switch. Perhaps if you fixed whatever problem you had with the ignition switch that resulted in bypassing it, things would work better. Or dig out a Fcctory Service Manual and figure out how to wire the push button into the rest of the starting circuitry.

There's a cold start inj electrical test in the FSM. Use a 12v test light.

I had this problem I put a toggle switch on my dash that puts 12v to cold start injector at intake. I just switch on injector at start up (when cold) and switch off after start. I know kinda redneck shadetree. But for 3$ it works.
I told my son (10) it was a super charger switch like in the XXX movie haha.

or wire the push button to 'back feed' into the 'bypassed' wiring.
