Clutch disc size?

I have a 1985 4Runner 22RE 5 spd. I would like to know what size the disc is before I pull it apart so I can order one. I'm thinking I need to replace it because when I push in the clutch it barely comes off the floor before it starts to engage. I'm thinking it should come out farther before it engages. Am I wrong in this assumption? Thanks
