Charge and brake lights staying on indicates bad alternator.

relay is in the left kick panel, remove the trim panel and you'll see it.

the charge fuse should be in the fuse box next to the battery. 7.5 amp ,it could be blown or not making good contact. i am assuming the truck is not charging .

Altenator wiring shorted out, after rewiring, the emergency brake and battery indicator lights stay on and the electric choke does not work. (battery is being charged, I've been driving like this for months!) All on same circuit by my book. Problem is "charging circuit relay", my problem is I can't find it. I've looked behind both kick panels and behind the glove box and undrer the hood. Book says it is marked "charging circuit relay" can you help? 1985 Toy p-u, gas, carb

Just pulled mine out yesterday. Unscrew the driver side kick panel under the fuse box. the charging circuit relay is a gray 4 pin C shaped conection. Believe it is the the bottom right relay out of the 4 available spots. Hope this helps.
