welcome to YT.
I was in kind of the same boat as you, a long time Toyota owner, had an '05 Tacoma TRD OR DC, needed something bigger for family..picked up an '81 for a trail rig...though I miss the Taco. What part of the Valley are you? Salem'ish? there is a local group you might have heard of : http://kanyon-crawlers.com/ haven't wheeled with them yet but plan to once I get my transmission replaced. For pictures, try a free service like photobucket.com. than copy and paste the [IMG] code into you posts.

Thanks everybody. Yes I live about 15 min. west of salem. I have heard of Canyon Crawlers. Actually knew someone that used to, maybe still wheels with them. Sean Ganoid is his name. He owns a red 89 sas'ed truck. Seems to be good group of guys. I want to get the lift and tires before I go and wheel with them though, they usually go to places like Browns Camp in the Tillamook state forest and I know that I will need some mods before I try to tackle it. Look forward to wheelin with you all hopefully soon.
