Brake upgrade?
I have a 85 stright axle under my truck and I am having a hard time stoping the 38's with the stock brakes that I have. So I was wondering if any of the V6 calipers would fit and mount the same way? Or is there a brake setup that a lot of guys are starting to use that works.
Thanks Kevin |

I am a bit fuzzy on exactley what you will need, but I know I put a '85 straight axle on my 4Runner and ended up running the V6 calipers on LC rotors. Not sure if you need the wheel spacers to clear everything. Ask WabFab if he sells the brake parts you need independently from the TG SAS kit.
You could also upgrade the rear brakes to discs: http://www.yotatech.com/f116/rear-disc-swap-107749/ With all that, your 38's will stop on a dime. ![]()
