85 xcab rear springs sagging

Wondered what "without lift" options there are for my new to me 85 Xcab. Driver's rear is sagging significantly. Front springs are fine, truck def has an "ass down" attitude. I'm restoring this for my daughter's first car, so want everything stock. Is it possible to get aftermarket springs without lift? Anyone have some good stockers near Tx?

i think NWOR sells replacement stock springs. i dont know if they are stronger upgrades, true oem replacements will probably end up sagging after a few years tho. i have never dealt with NWOR , but i have heard that they can be hard to deal with.

Get some old man emu (OME) springs made by ARB. They are bolt on, the ride is excellent and they flex better then stock. They have 2 inches of lift but if you get the soft ones I bet they would look stock. I have a set of these on an fj60 and the ride is far superior to stock.

I have an extra set of rear springs. IIRC the truck they came off of still had the right ride height. They where an extra set for the "rears up front lift" that I never used.

They need to be cleaned up but you can have them for S+H (heavy)

I sure appreciate the offer! I'm gonna check around locally, may take you up on that. I need to measure my front height and see if it's lifted. It's on 235's right now, and there's looootttsss of open area...may have a small lift on it already.

Add-a-leaf (like the Rancho Soft-Ride AAL kit) or JC Whitney also sells a stock height rear spring:

Personally, at over 20 years old, I'd replace them. Stay away from NWOR at all costs. The only place I know that sells stock-height springs is JC Whitney. Otherwise I echo the idea of 2" OME springs. Some of the nicest on the planet.

I have only had the OME for a year or so. No signs of them sagging. We loaded the truck with 15 sheets of 3/8 plywood and the rear wasnt sagging. Keep in mind this is on an FJ60 but im sure they are similar to the 4runner and pickup springs. I would have installed these springs on my runner in a heart beat if i wasnt looking for a larger lift to fit 35s. I have only ever herd excellent things from others who have used OME.

If you are wanting some flex I would go with the All-Pro superflex rear springs. They have a 3" lift to them for only $289 and you are off to having a great lift with more flex than you will ever need. Something to consider.
