'85 Toyota Pickup
Alright I know this belongs in Classifieds but needing 15 posts I don't have much of a choice.

I currently have a 1996 lifted cherokee that I'm selling to get a better wheeler. I have the cash for a toyota right now in the $3500-$4000 price range. From my understanding, 1985 is one of the best years because it's the last year of the solid axle and the first year of the EFI set up. So is $3500 for this rig a good deal? He will only go down to $3400 right now. The interior is cherry as could be. Now I haven't seen it in person or driven it, but from talking to the guy it seems good. He doesn't know the mileage on the vehicle, and claims he's had it for 5 years and only put on 3k miles, according to him he only drives it when it snows. The biggest reason I haven't purchased the truck is that it is regular cab, and going from a nice roomy cherokee to a regular cab 2 seater seems painful, but this is one of the cleanest toyotas I have ever seen.
My plans for this toyota would be 30 spline axles, regear, welded all around, and 37s-39.5 tires, and mainly a DD (Although I do have a 2nd car too). Much better than my cherokee on 33s and open diffs with garbage stock axles.
So is that truck worth the money? Thanks for any assistance.

It's definitely worth the money. Especially since all the work is already done.
Going to a regular cab would be tough if you need the room for a family, but if you don't, who cares.

I have a buddy with a toyota on 42s, its seen Moab and all that crazy stuff and he's gonna help me build one if I ever get a toyota.

I'd keep lookin. There is nothing special about that truck. All the mods listed and the shape of the body detract from the value.
The fact its coming from battleground should make you run away even faster.

Well it comes down to just how bad you think you need this truck .
All ready decided just need the moral support .
Without seeing how things were done in person I can`t say Because I have to many Trucks as it is.
Most all that work done could be of such quality it would need to be redone to make it correct.

If the work was done right, I would say it is worth it. The bobbed bed would kill it for me but if you were going to bob it, it is that much less for you to do. I am 6 foot, and I have had standard cab Toyotas, they are alright but an extended cab for us taller ones is so much nicer. Even if you have to test drive a two wheel drive, it would give you an idea for the leg room. For me it is something to really consider is the standard cab.
