85 hilux carburettor wiring
Hello from Australia
I am restoring a 85 Hilux that had an original 4y motor that blew a piston .
Put a 2y replacement motor in and going to put a 4y carburetor on it .
The wiring harness that goes with the 4y carby has 5 wires but the original chassis harness on the vehicle has only 4, 1 yellow , 2red/black and 1 black white.
I have a spare harness from another 4y chassis that has the yellow ,3 back/reds and a black white.
I have looked at the FSM for this model and was wondering if I can take a wire from the 7 amp fuse and add it to the 5 wire spare 4y harness connector that joins with the carburetor.
I know there are a lot of numbers and colours in this question .....like an alphabet Rubics cube ............Any help greatly appreciated .
