84 5speed in 86 pickup

I have a 5speed out of a 84 4Runner. Is it the same tranny as an 86 pickup or will it interchange? I know the 86 is a W56 but I'm not sure about the 84. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx

Only difference will be in the location of the t-case shifter. The G series have the forward shifter, the W56 early models are top shift. So choices are swap tranny+t-case and possibly modify the shifter boots. Or keep top shift t-case and plug up fwd. shift hole in the G-series tranny.
