4x4 vs 2x4 Axle housing tube diameter?

I am trying to get some info on the diameter of the axle housing tubes for toyota PUs.

'79-'85 4x4 = 2 5/8"
'79-'85? 2x4 =

'86-? 4x4 = 3"
"86-? 2x4 =

Any help is greatly appreciated.
If I need to, I'm going to just find some 2x4 Toys and hop under them.

Thanks

Nope.
There is everything else, but no info on housing tube diameters.
I searched, searched some more and found nothing on it. I even asked over there and no response.

Can anyone verify this?

I measured both '85 and '89 4x4 axles tonight.
Measurements updated above.

the FSM on the 3rd gen pickup doesn't show a difference between the two. It shows front end for 2wd and 4wd. Then just shows rear, no 2wd or 4wd. Just a couple of notes about different pieces like the rear brake cable.
