Alright, let me start off with what i have. I have a 85 4runner sr5 efi with a 22rec<----california fully trail ready, engine/trans rebuilt before i bought it, i rebuilt/re geared the transfercase, custom long slip drivelines, i rebuilt and re geared both axles, and made my truck completely trail worthy, sitting on 36/13.50 iroks. The problems/annoyances im having are... 1)motor at idle pops, sounds like it has a miss at idle, any other time it is fine but it does it consistantly at idle when warmed up. 2) when throttling through a corner in which i am getting a lot of body sway the motor sputters and acts like its not firing on all cylinders, until i let off the gas and throttle again, after that its fine again I have replaced cap/rotor/plugs/wires, cleaned the throttle body, and checked the injector harnesses(had 1 pop off before). i have NOT tested timing as i have no timing gun, and have not messed with the valve lash as i have NO experience in adjusing valves. Replace the fuel filter and check the timming, also check to see if the TPS is set corectly, just throwing out ideas.
