I just down loaded a 1985 Toyota truck dealer service manual and in the rear of it they have a section on winch removal and tear down. So my quesion is, was this a factory option? I have searched the net with no luck.

It might have been an option outside the U.S. because I have never seen one. Remember the U.S. graduates more lawyers then engineers so we tend to get dumbed down options.
